What data is processed

Cookies

The map UI stores the chosen user name in a cookie named pbfx_user_name so it can be reused on later visits. The map UI may also store local UI state in browser storage, for example editor content or panel state.

Purpose of processing

The current purpose is internal debugging, operational analysis, and troubleshooting of the PBFX Search prototype. The stored user name is intended as a lightweight identifier to distinguish sessions and understand which queries produced which server-side effects.

Legal basis

At the current prototype stage, processing is based on the user’s consent when entering and confirming a user name in the map UI.

Server logs

Submitted search queries and natural-language requests are written to append-only structured server log files together with timestamps, result size information, the remote IP address, and the chosen user name.

Storage duration

The user name cookie is currently set with a maximum lifetime of up to 365 days unless it is deleted earlier. Server-side log retention is currently operational and may change while the prototype evolves.

How to withdraw consent

You can clear the stored user name directly in the map UI. This removes the user name cookie for future requests from that browser. Already created server-side log entries are not automatically deleted.

Your rights

Depending on the applicable law and the specific processing context, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and withdrawal of consent with future effect.
